Re: PRA 17 Release

Hi Steven,
my fault, I used the comma as decimal point instead of the point.
Now it works fine.

Thank you.

Re: PRA 17 Release

Hi Steven, this morning I was trying PRA 17 and during the calibration with LYSO PRA gave me this message: gaussian table overflow PRA_17_Message_1.png These are my settings PRA_17_Message_2.png This doesn't happen with PRA16, with same settings and same source and I don't understand the reason of t...

GS-PRO' potentiometer

Hi all, a simple question about the GS-PRO. When I plug the driver to the probe, is it better to start from 0V and raise the voltage till the correct value, or is it possible to leave the voltage settings as the last use? Idem when I unplug the probe : is it necessary to lower the voltage until 0V o...

Re: Old lead

I couldn't help trying to assembly a castle with the lead ingots, to make the test Max suggested. Castle_2jpg.jpg As you see the castle it's quite teetering and full of fissures, but it works respectably : with a 2"x2" NaI probe, it gives a background of 8.3 CPS against about 166.5 CPS on the outsid...

Re: Old lead

From bad to worse! :-(
Thank you Max for your detailed explanation.
I'll build it, by now it's a personal challenge :-).
I don't know when, but I will surely post the background spectrum once finished, hope within few months.

Thank you all again.

Re: Old lead

Hi Cicastol, thank you for the reply.
So you think this lead is quite useless...
By now I have it and I think I will continue with the project, but without great expectations ;-).

Re: Old lead

Hi Luuk,
thank you for your suggestion.
Maybe I can melt the lead seals into the same ingot to make the comparison you mean.
If I'll do it, I will sure post some other spectra.
