Hello from Rural Leesburg, Virginia

Post by MikeD99 » 26 Apr 2023, 14:12

I am a retired microprocessor programmer who understands some analogue electronics when it's explained to me and most all digital HW.

I was originally a chemistry major in school but had tremendous difficulty with calculus and organic chem. I was saved by the computer science major and made a living at it. Hello computers, goodbye chem!

I have had a strong interest in the atom and its major sub components since chemistry class and physics class in high school. I have rekindled my nuclear physics interests about 5 years ago and am copying and doing myself, most of Carl Willis's video experiments. I really like Neutrons.

I have a very understanding wife of nearly 50 years and no children to leave money to, so I am spending it on my hobbies.

I am also a life-long type 1 diabetic who has had a kidney and pancreas transplant.

Feel free to ask me any questions.

Mike,

Welcome to the forum, maybe you can barter some computer skills for nuclear science knowledge.

Bet you were impressed by my manual captcha, it works, we haven't had a bot since I implemented it.... 😂
