Hello from Tokyo

New to this forum as a member, but been following the Gamma Spectacular website for a while.

Currently setting up a gamma spectrometer using Steven's GS-1100-Pro with a 2x2 NaI(Tl) detector (44-10). Looking forward to getting more closely acquainted with the radioisotopes that I assume are still heading south from Fukushima.

Other interests include seismometry (naturally !) and wireless sensor networking.

Current active project is building a shielding system - using lead shot for convenience (lead bricks are very expensive in Japan - guess they've all been sent north to Tohoku.

Thanks for the intro and welcome to the forum..

Your GS-PRO should be well on it's way now, so your first spectrum is not far away..

Best of luck..
