Hi Guys,
Anyone going to the IEEE Sydney conference in November? http://www.nssmic.org/2018/
Today I booked an exhibitor booth for Gammaspectacular, so now I'm going to be busy getting some stuff ready for the show. It should be interesting with over 2000 delegates attending. Will need a few cool experiments running on my table, thinking I might do Pieter's 2.2 µs muon experiment as a talking point. Would be good if I had a Fukushima soil sample as well. Still plenty of time to find something.
Steven

It seems Australia is too far away for most of us here...unfortunately. Do you visit events in Europe, Steven?
Where can I read about the "Pieter's 2.2 µs muon experiment" ?

Svilen,
I did a search for Pieter's post and couldn't find it, it might have been one of the posts on the old forum which unfortunately got lost when we migrated to this platform. in any case I repeated his experiment here. viewtopic.php?f=21&t=342&p=1590&hilit=m ... e578#p1590
Pieter's original experiment was with plastic scintillator, but NaI(Tl) worked fine too.
