Re: So I made a detector from a R7400U + CsI(Tl) from ebay

I tried this detectors, remember resolution around 13%. No any generation of unwanted signals noticed. I can assume this is some interference coming from outside. Try decreasing voltage to, say, 500 V, and if unwanted pulses still present - it have external nature. One more thing: glass insulation o...

Re: help id'ing an old tube

Yes, it should be NaI 40*40 with FEU93 PMT.
Not so big chance that it's working with good resolution, but you can try.

Re: SrI2(Eu) detectors

Yes, I have seen that they use stm32, but don't know which one. Stm32 family contains hundreds of different MCUs.
It will be interesting to see the results with different detectors, because upon my experience different detectors have different optimal settings, including some of component values.

Re: SrI2(Eu) detectors

Sounds interesting. Did you tried to figure out what CPU they used in the device?
How it behaves with different detectors? What settings in pulses processing accessible to user?

Re: Hello from UConn, Storrs Connecticut

Hi Richard, First of all, don't worry about Bluetooth connection during long measurement, just start measurement from Atom Swift app and you can go away with your Android device and return when needed to check the result. GS-neutron don't need to communicate over Bluetooth during measurement process...
