Re: Mirion PDS 100G, Spectrometric Personal Radiation Detector

Hi Stefan,
This is really helpful to know, thank you very much! Well, there are some drawbacks, but if i need to measure something longer than 8h I very likely will not use this device, so this shouldn't really be a problem.
Greetings,

We have technically better, but not that beautiful instruments nowadays :) I don't know if they are that rare in the US as they are here in Europe, but if so, be...

I even don't know if they have more at all, but hope so, and you guys can get some too. It actually costed a fortune...

Re: Maralingite

More likely not, since the result from a trinitite sample with comparable size and activity is nearly the same.

Re: Maralingite

I was also looking for it quite a long time, even asked Steven here once, since he is Australian, but he also never had a sample of it... Finally, I bought one from an Australian jewel/mineral seller on ebay. I don't know if they have more of it, but at least it is not listed anymore. Here is the se...

Re: Soil sample

Nice sample from a historically interesting place. I regret I didn't visit HVS Kummersdorf while I was living in Berlin. There is not much left, but it still would be nice to go.
