Quack cure "Bio-energy" card with Th-232
A quack cure "Bio-energy" card, containing Th-232. It seems they put thorium not only in the "lava stone scalar energy pendant", but in this plastic Panacea too. It is also more active than I expected (~40 pps above background), clear spectrum is achieved in just few minutes. 1.jpg Description of th...

Re: Youtube Documentary
I've seen some video material from Carl Willis before, lots of interesting stuff there always. What really stands out is their passion about the things they are doing and so a scientist must be.

Re: Yet another Cs-137 spectrum from the Chachersk soil sample
Just 1-2 cps above background (changes from ~10 to ~12 cps).

Yet another Cs-137 spectrum from the Chachersk soil sample
Here is my result from the soil sample I got from Alberto Marturini - thank you very much for sending it, Alberto! 5g soil sample from Chachersk (a city in the Gomel Region of Belarus), contaminated with Cs-137 after the Chernobyl disaster. Activity was just few pulses above background, but Cs-137 i...

Re: Samarskite-(Y)
The activity of the sample is about 15 times the background in the castle (~150/s for the sample).

Re: Thorium decay series in a soil sample from Oranienburg, Germany
Thank you for your reply Massimo. And thanks for all your other posts - very neat job and very well presented! The activity in the 900keV region is too low to say unfortunately. And for the 208-Tl at 2615keV - there is nothing after 2keV, but so is the technical specification of this detector also (...

Re: Thorium decay series in a soil sample from Oranienburg, Germany
Well, not that common I would say :) Zdravei Milene, It's my real name and I come from the same country as you do, but I live in Germany. I was anyway going to say "Hi" under your introductory post, so off-topic is not that bad. You can write me a PM if you wish.

Thorium decay series in a soil sample from Oranienburg, Germany
Here is the spectrum I got from a contaminated soil sample from Oranienburg, Germany. It is quite weak, since the activity of the sample is low, but it could be interesting for the German members of the forum at least, so I decided to show it. Maybe someone living near Berlin will be interested to ...

Samarskite-(Y)
Just an usual spectrum, but from a quite rare sample - Samarskite (70 min, 2x2" NaI(Tl)).
Samarskite-(Y) is a radioactive rare earth mineral containing Yttrium, Uranium, Thorium, Niobium, Tallium and occurs in rare earth bearing granite pegmatites.

Re: Quantum Scalar Pendant Technology
More than a year before I also bought one of these and tested it. I guess I never showed the result, I thought everybody has already seen it :)

A bit off calibration, but clearly Thorium inside:
