Lead Castle

Post by wrbishop » 03 May 2015, 02:48

Hi everyone,

Just to kick things off and generate some discussion, I have a blog post on building a lead castle:

I've seen folks using lead pellets for their enclosures. Making your own lead "shot" is fun research too:

Hi Bill!

The link to your website does not seem to work, I tried it both yesterday and today.

Nice to see the lead shot making. I am thinking about lead shots as a way to reinforce my current castle, a bit depending on the probe I will use.
My current castle was done by casting lead in a stainless steel mold. This was done in a workshop that had a ceramic furnace and proper ventilation, so it is hardly something that can be easily done anywhere. But it turned out very nice, I will make a link from the old forum in a separate post at some point.
