The answer for your question is the same as for the detectors with the blue base I gave to Kolja.
If you make a standard vd with Cathode on pin14 and Anode on pin11 than it is simple just make the resistor chain 2,1,1,1,1 etc. even if there are some pins not connected, it will still give you a correct pulse, just give it a try.

I am sorry but, I could not find anything in the nomenclature about a F or E after the pmt size, I looked in the catalog from 1984.
