A defect crystal

Post by luuk » 24 May 2024, 05:29

Hi guys,

At my last few days at work I found a real bad detector/crystal.
I wrote about crystals like this before but I think stays interesting
to see how they look and react.

Interested? please read the pdf.

Interesting.
What's next for something like this? Is it a case of removing the bad part and cutting the crystal down to a smaller (and likely non-standard dimensioned) crystal, or is it unsalvageable and destined for the junk pile?
