small NaI (Tl) from Harshaw

Hello,
I have 5 old very small scintillators of Harshaw. What can i do ? Is a photodiode sensitive enough?

Hi Peter, which size do they have?
Would you sell one? I would like to build up an own detector just to play around...
As as far you are living in Germany as well, there is no customs, no tax, no problem ;)

Hi Peter,

You could try a photodiode or a small 10mm pmt.
But looking at your picture I expect there are some problems with some of your detectors.
One or more it is not so simple to see is or wet or have a serious interface problem, that will cause a loss of resolution, but it could also be a reflection when taking the photo.
Are they slightly yellow or still clear white?
Do they have different colour spots inside?

yes , all this small NaI have problems and are not for a spectrometer. But for to play with a small unit.
