Post by kotarak » 05 May 2023, 00:08

Hey guys,
does anyone know how to read the datecode of the Scionix-Holland detectors like the 38B57 off the serial number?
the format is like SES395, SED936, SCE113, .. etc
thank you in advance!

Hello Andre,
There is no date code in these Sn numbers.
If you have a specific Sn number let me know and I can look it up for you.

Hi Luuk
Thank you so much for the generous offer!
Here is a list of the detectors - no worries if you cant do all of them - I completely understand - I just dont want to impose and I'll take whatever you can provide!
I need only the year of manufacture but if there is something else available, like performance info it might be useful.

SED872
SED936
SCE113
SED521
SEN292
SCE057
SES395
SCK155

Hello Andrey,

I found some info but our testing and filing system changed in 2016,
So lots of the old info is not traceable any more, and sometimes the data is not 100% correct.

SEK044, 6.7% , +690V, pmt r980
SED872, 6.5% , 450V ,pmt r3998
SEN292, 6.6%, +670V,pmt r980
SES395, 6.3%, +730V,pmt r980
The SED521 is a 3x3” detector is that correct?

Hopes this helps a little.

Hi Luuk,
Thanks so much for this!
Is it fair to assume that all the ones you reported data on are manufactured after 2016?
the SED521 is 38B57 as well.

Hi Andrey,
No unfortunately not, all detectors you have are made between 2008 and 2011.
So that is why I cannot find all info anymore, or get wrong info on them like 3".

Hi Luuk,
do I have any chance to understand which PMT is used in a Scionix 51 B 51 / 2 - E2 with Serial SAP490?
I need to modify the PMT driver, and I already know that this is difficult for me again. Only 12 pins are used of 19 possible.
The version I got has SHV, BNC and a strange 2 pin - and as usual I need to change the resistors and stuff.

Thanks, Kolja
