switching to GS PRO V5 is not an issue, Win is using same driver.

connecting both, GS PRO USB and GS PRO V5 is as well not an issue... even if now V5 is using "2-USB AUDIO CODEC" and "USB AUDIO CODEC"

Lets say some sort of hickup happen that destroyed my sound settings...

Hello
I'm also having a problem that may be similar. I managed to get the device to work, but only once, and only for a short time. I thought my detector was faulty, so I ordered another one. Then I ordered another one with two cables. It's still the same. The PRA doesn't detect anything. Neither do other programs. I noticed that on my old Mac, the volume bar shows that something's happening. Today I had an idea and connected the power supply from the power bank and the audio output to an audio amplifier. After adjusting it, I heard a 24-hour hum, which increased significantly when I approached uranium ore. After connecting it to the computer's LINE-IN input, the ImpulseQT finally came to life. I tried switching from the power bank to the USB-to-PC, and everything went silent, including the sound from the audio amplifier.
I was checked on Laptop-Windows, MACBOOK-ARM, old MAC, Mini PC. New PC:)
Working only if I supply from power bank and when Im connect by the audio output-input.
Please help me!

Hi Guys,

This is a very old thread - If you own a GS-PRO with a white circuit board the only likely fault is a dead opamp (LM6142) it can be replaced without soldering for around $4.50.
When both Shape and Volume potentiometers are turned up to maximum it sets up a condition where a large pulse will fry the opamp.
It was clearly a design fault - but I never considered that it would happen because the typical volume setting is around the 10% range.

If you are replacing the opamp start fresh by turning the SHP and VOL potentiometers fully counter clockwise (15 turn) and just make sure not to go past 10 turn on either.

This problem was fixed and GS-PRO with black or Red PCB are fine.

Thank you for reply . I didn't start a new thread to avoid cluttering the forum. Today I had more time, so I checked everything again. First, the probe works; I checked it with an oscilloscope. The HV power supply also works – the voltage was measured. I found the PCM2900C application diagram and used an audio signal to test the circuits. When I apply a signal to pins 12 and 13, I hear sound at the audio output. However, when I connect the USB and try the same thing, there's no sound. In this case, the op amp is not involved.
In the mean time I will change operational amplifier also and I will order PCM2900C. To be sure.
