Hi,
I have an Exploranium GR-130 unit, but it came with firmware version 5.16F, which does not seem compatible with any of software I have been able to find online. It does not follow the data format specified in the 5.15 manual, and does not work with SpecView 4.0 or Explore 4 rev5.2. I am not sure if this was a change in the 5.16 firmware, or in the F version of the firmware, which was a custom version made for the FBI.
To try to get the data interface on my unit working, I am looking for a dump of the firmware of a regular 5.16 version, or older versions of the firmware. If anyone has one of these devices, I would really appreciate if you were able to send me a copy.
I uploaded my firmware to archive.org, so that it is properly archived and preserved, in case anyone needs it in the future.

Exploranium GR-130 Firmware
Re: Exploranium GR-130 Firmware
I managed to find a copy of the 5.15 firmware :)
The new version, however, did not fix my issues, I saw the same behavior when interfacing with the unit. This seemed very suspicious to me, so I decided to try a different serial adapter, which fixed the issue.
I was using a genuine Prolific PL-2303, so I hadn't suspected the adapter, at least not enough to make an adapter cable from the 3.5mm jack to a RS232 port, so I could use another serial adapter. The reason I was using the PL-2303 adapter in the first place was because I have a 3.5mm cable for that adapter (this adapter was meant to program radios, so it has a female 3.5mm jack and a bunch of 3.5mm jack to various different jack connectors used in radios).
The adapter that fixed the issue was chinese RS232 cable claiming to be a FT232.
If I end up writing some code to interface with the device and/or integrate it into existing software, like InterSpec, I'll try to remember to post it here.
The 5.15 firmware is now also on archive.org.
