Hi All,
I found this handy efficiency calculator today. Easy to look up shielding thickness etc..

Steven
I can use this in my xrf experiments
For example Al thickness to block unwanted Xrays
I was hoping to find something about plastics and glass blocking low energy x rays This is because some toxic or gas elements need to be sealed off like Kr or arsenic.
Bearing in mind that glass or plastic can block 59 kev gamma from Am241 source depending on thickness
Also the low energy xrf generated cannot reach the detector in return.
I once knew a website regarding this measurement
Thanks
Taray
