Hello,
My name is Chris Quan in Malibu, California. I just bought several radiation detectors from Radex 1503, Radex RD1212-BT, Atom Fast 8850, GQ GMC-600+ & GS-Pro-USB + probes (also trying to get RadiaCode 101 once they can ship again) for myself in the US & 2 of my younger brothers in Thailand.
My goal is to be able to do food/water inspection for our families, friends & neighborhood. I just received GS-Pro-USB + probes yesterday. I'll start testing tomorrow & plan to build a simple shield with 300 lbs of lead (got to make it easy & simple for my bothers to build ones).
I have a question to ask next.
Hello from Malibu, California

Chris,
Welcome to the forum and thanks for the introduction.
Make sure you read a bunch of posts in the Shielding forum before you start constructing a shield, it's always good to see what others have done, that way you can pick the best ideas.
Look forward to reading your posts.

Thanks, Steve., Will do. I got to make it real easy without any lead smelting.
