Goodbye Alaska
Goodbye Alaska
The dismal job market in Alaska has finally chased me away. I drove back to Wisconsin last week and am getting set up in my Mom's basement while I search for a new place to live. I'm looking at buying a quarry on the Stettin pluton and getting back into prospecting rare earth minerals again. In the mean time, I'm going to figure out a way to see just how much radon I'm living with here in the basement.

Re: Goodbye Alaska
Geoff,
Are you serious, you drove from Alaska to Wisconsin?
You must have seen most of North America, on that trip, it must have been interesting.
Good luck with your new life back home.

It's a spectacular drive, but not the longest I've done. When I moved up in 2005 I drove from North Carolina to Alaska. About another 18 hours in the car from there. I've got some awesome non-radiation related pictures from the trip. I'll make a public photo album on Facebook later and share it here.
