Dilation blocker??

Post by tim.hbn » 26 Aug 2021, 12:54

Hi Everyone

I have read that headaches are caused by vasodilation and that some treatments involve vasoconstrictor drugs.

However, I have also read that the problem with vasoconstrictor drugs is that once the constriction has worn off, your blood vessels do not just return to the normal mid position. They go past that to being dilated again as a rebound reaction to having been constricted. This therefore causes another headache.

I expect that the answer is no but does anyone here know of a drug that can block dilation without causing constriction, thereby maintaining your blood vessels in the normal mid position?

Thank you very much.

Kind regards

Tim
