Linking to images on remote servers

Hi All,

One of our members has brought it to my attention that images hosted on a remote server will not show on this forum unless the site also runs https protocol, this makes sense, but may not be immediately obvious.

Other disadvantages of linking to remote sites are when those sites go down, so do the images, leaving us with incomplete posts.

Better to upload your images here, but please try to keep your images appropriately small and use jpg whenever possible.
