Uranium Tetrafloride - no progeny

Post by Daryl » 25 Oct 2016, 01:59

I obtained a sample of this from eBay user cgroat3573 and it took me some time to figure out the sources for the peaks.

The peaks are around 33, 66, 96, 143.8, and 185.7. The 143.8, and 185.7 are from 235-U.
In Logarithmic we also see the 766 and 1001 lines of 234m-Pa.

Do I assume that the 96 peak is overriding the 78-80 x-ray florescence from lead?

What is responsible for the peaks around 33 and 66? I would guess 66 is really 63.3 from 234=Th?
