Hello,
is it possible to see the 2 lines of Lu 175 and 176 with 1 gr of the metal?

Found a post on the old forum here:

I recorded a spectrum with 0.13 grams, I still have the little piece, might try again and see if I can do better.

Lanthanum, 10g
Main peak very close to K-40

Lutetium, ~2.5g
Both main peaks pretty well and relatively fast visible. The 3rd highest corresponds to ~60 keV on the scale, but according to data it should be at 88 keV (13%).

Now I have a sample Lutetium. Only 1 grams, but it is enough for a nice spectrum.

Hi,
here is my spectrum of 176Lu(2 grams), acquired with the 3x3 Luuk detector 8000s integration time, 2cm lead castle .
Clearly seen the splitted Pb Ka-Kb xrf lines at 75-85keV and Lu xrf Ka-Kb at 54-61keV, plus the escape peak at 25,4keV (Ka Lu 54keV minus Iodine Ka 28,6keV).

Hi Ciro,
Nice spectrum you got there, looks great.

Hello Ciro,
Great ! I am very impressed with the good resolution in the lower keV area. I have never seen the 2 Pb Ka Kb lines so clear.

I forgot to add a long time integration (14h) of the Lutetium spectra with better sig/noise ratio, all done in my 6cm lead shield.

Hi Ciro
nice spectrum indeed. I try to do the same with one LYSO cristal using a Scionix 38B57 rewired from Tom @iradinc but at low energy your 3x3 from Luuk really makes the difference.
