Thorium mantle calibration run

Post by sgt_bear » 29 Aug 2017, 06:28

Hi,

Today i tried to run a spectrum on a mantle to get the detecors linearity.
It turned out my detector is quite linear up to 1000keV, after that i had to adjust the equalizers of theremino to get the spectrum in line.

Here is the full image of the spectrum:
Mantle1.png
and here a zoomed up version of the high energy part:
Mantle2.png

The unmarked bump at 2100-2300 keV could be Bi-212?.
The Peak on 2600 is possibly Tl-208

Regards
Jonathan

Jonathan,

Did you look at the sample spectrum here http://www.gammaspectacular.com/gamma_s ... 2-spectrum
