Lukas,

I believe the most common mechanism of disequilibrium (and the only mechanism mentioned in the OSTI Presentation, p34) is when Rn222 escapes and leaves a lower Ra/U ratio, or expressed the other way, a higher U/Ra ratio. For example, the Liebigite. I assume this is because the timing is not as critical in this direction.

Wittichen, where I got those rocks from, has been a mining site for centuries.
The ores were discarded as they were looking for silver and didn't even know uranium back then, so the rubble has been under ground for millenia and then in open weather for decades or centuries.
I'm fairly certain that will cause some chemical shift in it.

But then again, I'm not a geologist.
All I know is what I can see in the spectra, I'm currently taking a few with my NaI, hoping you can see the difference there.

I no Geologist. Far from it. Take everything I say with several grains of salt. I just find this stuff interesting.
I made a better spectrum comparison between the tooth and Ra226 for reference.
