Is there a way in Theremino to subtract a previously acquired background (norm) reading from the reading of a low level source? I'm trying to obtain a spectra from Manganese 56 but its buried in the background.

Think I just found the answer in the old forums. Will try to see how it works later this evening.

Mark,
You should try Becqmoni for background subtraction as well, it does a similar thing and it's quite intuitive once you are familiar with the setup.

Hi,
yes, with Theremino MCA it is definitely possible to subtract the background level (I usually do it).
Which version are you using ? You simply have to acquire a background, store it, and soon after start a new measure subtracting the first spectrum. It is easy, you have to use the button "Save BKG" and "Use BKG".
