Here is a little bit of Eye candy.
We just built a CeBr3 detector for a client. The attached spectrum shows 4.4% resolution, but after a day or two it improved and gave 4.1%. Dispite having lower resolution and costing more than LaBr3 some use cases justify these detectors. CeBr3 does not have any internal counts like LaBr3.
