Hey all, Geoff here. I live in Anchorage, Alaska and work in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska as a radiation maintenance specialist and radiation safety officer for an oilfield services company. My job has me perform maintenance on gamma ray and neutron logging sources as well as pulsed neutron generators.
My equipment includes the GS1100A and a FWT Rainbow MCA. I have a few different probes, a 1 inch Far West Technology NaI probe, a 1 inch BGO probe, and a 19mm x 120mm NaI probe. I am using my equipment to identify activation products from 14MeV neutrons.
I also collect minerals and have started to analyze my radioactive specimens.

Re: Geoff from Alaska
Geoff, welcome to the board.
You live (Anchorage) and especially work (Prudhoe Bay), in a sometimes harsh but most likely exciting place. I would love to see them both (as well as other parts of Alaska) one day.
Please let me know if you need any assistance with your BGO build. Tom
