Hello to all!
Anyone knows this detector?

Thanks
CSI Detector
Re: CSI Detector
Based on the model number "13B38/0.3-CS-X", it appears to be a (X) customer custom 13mm diameter by 38mm long CsI (probably Tl) crystal canned together with a TO-8 Metal Package PMT (probably a R5600 or R7400). The pins are very tiny and fragile.
I'm sure Luuk could tell you more about it.

Re: CSI Detector
Hi Nicola,
The detector is exactly as Tom described it, 13mm round, 38mm long, the crystal is CsI(Tl), the pmt R7400u.
It is difficult to connect them because the pmt wires are very fragile and it is hard to find the right pmt socket.
If it works you expect a resolution from around 7.2-7.5%@662KeV average.
Often these secondhand detectors have broken pins(wires) or the pmt is broken.

Thank you!
I’ll look for something else.
Bye!
Re: CSI Detector
These Scionix CsI detectors are nice for their small size, however they use one of the more difficult sockets to find and/or wire a voltage divider for. Wiring directly to the very fragile pins is possible, but risk to the PMT is great and is not advised.

Re: CSI Detector
Here is what wiring the small TO-8 PMTs socket is like... I wired this one for most efficient power use. Notice in the pictures it now runs well at only 650 volts.
