Xrf with Bicron X-ray probe

Post by Taray » 06 Dec 2019, 23:23

X-ray source Am241
MCA UCS20
Detector 1XMP.040B
This x-ray detector has low noise and I believe has a beryllium window.
I am able to go down to to 3 kev elements.
Below pic of 2 samples
Copper and lanthanum
Lanthanum can act as a calibration source with peaks at either end.
I can almost make out the atomic shells .
