Hey guys,
I am using GS-USB-PRO with a single cable detector. I am not sure if schematics for the USB-PRO are available but my question is if the signal bnc has decoupled pulses when using a single cable so I can use it as a pulse output to observe the pulses from the PMT with a scope.
Also, Is there a good test point where I can look at the processed pulses and adjust shape trimmer using a scope?
Best,
Andrey

Hi Andrey,
The BNC connector is a signal output when the switch under the GS is pushed towards the connector and converts to an input when the switch is pushed the other way.
What you get from the BNC is the decoupled signal straight off the coupling, but because it is not disconnected from the rest of the circuit it's not exactly the same as tapping the signal directly off the PMT.
Alternatively you can hook your scope up to the tip of the TRRS jack and listen to the signal after the preamp.
Some experiments wont work, like connecting the signal from the BNC to a scope with a Tee and a 50 ohm terminator, the signal just disappears (impedance too low).
