CLLBC Scintillators does anyone have experience?

Post by Sesselmann » 28 Sep 2023, 08:00

Hi Guys,

I received some marketing material about CLLBC scintillation material today. the specs look interesting but no one mentions price...

Does anyone know who is actually growing this material and how it has been priced, is it hygroscopic etc..

Specs look very good, even compared to LaBr3 / CeBr3 detectors. The references state that it is hygroscopic. No doubt pricing places it out of the reach of most hobbyists.
