1.5" x 1.5" CsI(Tl) Gamma Scintillation Detector

These small 1.5" detectors are great for portable systems, small enough to handle yet big enough to produce a decent gamma spectrum. 

Thallium doped Caesium Iodide or CsI(Tl) scintillation crystals are a great alternative to NaI(Tl) and have several advantages. 

• Caesium Iodide is not hygroscopic allowing for the crystal to be coupled directly to the PMT
• Caesium iodide has a density of 4.51 gr/cm^3 and is almost  23% more efficient than NaI(Tl)
• Slightly less fragile 

The detector is supplied with an SHV male connector, compatible with the GS-USB-PRO, but can be supplied with a HV-BNC if required.

We recommend this detector for use with the GS-PRO-V5 spectrometer.
